Essential Noise Music Picks - 9/11/07

I want this site to be a place where people come to check out new bands and learn about new music. That means every Tuesday I am going to recommend five bands I think you should check out and links to their myspace.

The Wildbirds -



Great old-fashioned Rock and Roll from the midwest. This band reminds me a lot of The Black Crowes back when they just played in bars and fought with each other.

The Budos Band -



This is a really great band that is bringing back the sounds of the early seventies with some really great funk and soul music. Put their record on when you are driving and it makes it even better.

Alice Smith -



I first heard about Alice Smith when her song "Dream" closed an episode of Entourage this season. She has a really great soul sound that reminds me of a young Alicia Keys.
